Nvidia Releases Quadro Driving Virtual Desktops with Microsoft RemoteFX

Nvidia has released the new NVIDIA WHQL driver to support Quadro GPUs running on backend servers with RemoteFX, for driving graphics on thin clients. Nvidia has been partnering with Microsoft since their beta to enable the best virtual desktop experience with NVIDIA GPUs.The user can now run NVIDIA Quadro 4000, 5000 and 6000 professional graphics cards, as well as the M2070Q server graphics module on RemoteFX to bring improved graphics performance to multiple users in a virtualized environment. It comes in single, dual and quad-core versions.They will include the latest Adreno GPUs integrated with an LTE modem. There are also the connectivity solutions like WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and FM. The chipsets also support near field communication as well as stereoscopic 3D video and photo capture and playback. The MSM8960 is the world’s first dual-core solution with an integrated multi- mode 3G/LTE modem. It will also support dual-channel LP DDR memory and will feature the Adreno 225 GPU.

The APQ8064 will include four asynchronous CPU cores and will include support for both PC and LP DDR memory, serial and PCIe interfaces, and multiple USB ports. Intel releases six-core i7-990X-the fastest desktop chip yet

The fastest desktop processor ever, Intel six-core i7-990X has started shipping. Running at a clock speed of 3.46GHz, the chip includes 12MB of cache and uses 130 watts of power.What is more interesting is the manual overclocking that further improves the processor speed.

In addition, the chip comes with a feature named Turbo Boost that can power the clock speed to a 3.73GHz peak. The speed delivered will depend on the power used and the application performance. Based on the old Westmere architecture, these processors are free from the Sandy Bridge flaw that Intel had recently announced. Nvidia Announces Quad-Core “Kal-El” Chipset

Nvidia today announced the first quad-core processor for tablets and mobiles, the Kal-El chipset. Nvidia has also unveiled an ambitious array of chip sets following the Kal-El. They include Wayne,Logan and Stark- all with more than cent percent processing power than the current Tegra-2 based chip sets.All the future chip sets will have their release by 2014.

The new Kal-El chipset delivers better performance and runs on all mobile platforms. With over five times the graphic performance of Tegra 2, it has the ability to drive 2560 by 1600 monitors.
