Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 reboot is great, but doesn’t quite match the original

 

Samsung is one of the few manufactures who is actually able to challenge Apple at the top of the tablet market, however its latest effort doesn’t quite hit the heights of its predecessor, although at less than $400 the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is priced accordingly, And, its Samsung’s top tab at the moment.

You’d be right to think that the Galaxy Tab 2 would build on the specs of its 10.1-inch brother, but you’ll still find a dual-core CPU, a 3.15-megapxiel rear camera and a 7,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The Galaxy Tab 2 is a slightly more budget-friendly slate, and Samsung has saved itself money with the uninspiring grey plastic case, VGA quality front facing camera and added weight – which defiantly makes the tablet feel cheaper in the hand and less pleasing on the eye.

Samsung rolls out Chat 322 and Chat 335

After the successful run of the Galaxy and Galaxy S series Samsung is with two new releases for the Indian market namely Samsung Chat 322 and Chat 335.These newly introduced products boast of a qwerty keypad, native SNS clients, instant messengers and more. Also it packs together an optical trackpad and Active sync for managing push mail application. It also has a Smart Homescreen that facilitate users to create shortcuts, buddy lists and live ticker feeds on the display.

The dual sim Chat 322 has a 2.2 inch LCD screen and flaunts an integrated customizable shortcut toolbar which helps to steamline personal information. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack, 1.3MP camera and FM radio. It has a 45MB user memory which can be expanded up to 8GB.

Samsung Galaxy S II unveiled

Finally the Samsung Galaxy S II is officially unveiled. Being true to its reputation it is quite impressive with better specs and modern and redefined design.

The Galaxy S II, word’s thinnest Android smartphone is just 8.49mm, thinner than Xperia Arc. It packs together a larger and improved display with 4.27- inch 800 x 480 Super AMOLED Plus, an 8 megapixel primary camera with LED flash capable of 1080p video recording, 2MP front-facing camera, a dual- core 1GHz Samsung chip, 1 GB of RAM, bumped at TouchWiz 4.0, NFC capabilities and is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerboard.

It is also a comparatively lighter phone weighing 116g in comparison with 119g found on the first Galaxy S. But there still hasn’t been any word on the pricing.

Walmart offering Samsung Galaxy S 4G

AndroidLife has come up with the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy becoming available at the Walmart at a time when the T-mobile and the smartphone is hogging the limelight with its arrival plans onto the T-Mobile new cell phones shelf probably this month. As per the reports from the Walmart the Galaxy S 4G will carry a price tag of $148.88 with two years of service agreement. Consumers can buy the device for $248.88 with a two-year FlexPay agreement while it costs $650 for those who do not wish to come into any contract.
