But how does a business get noticed in a vast oceans of trillions of webpages and countless terrabytes? There are two ways to run-up the rankings, one is traditionally fast (assuming you have a money to make a dent in the competitive market) and the other is sustained or slow. Both require investment, an open-mind and a lot of patience.

What Is It?

Google Adwords is a famous PPC (pay-per-click) offering, hosted by the omnipotent search engine, Google. As anticipated, the first models to receive the update will be the Developer Edition of HTC One to which it is addressed the software update 3.22.15401. A huge leap in release, as the previous year (1.29.1540.17) was still based on Android 4.1.2 (remember that users in the USA have not received the update to Android 4.2.2 which is available in our market). How Smartphones Are Changing The Third World

September 12, 2013 |

We think about mobile phones as something we have in our advanced economies, but it is surprising just how many there are in the Third World. Of course, you expect to see mobile phones in places like India and China, which are emerging rapidly as economic powers, but mobile phones have penetrated the market in some very surprising places. For example, there are 18 million mobile phone subscribers in Afghanistan – that’s 60% of the population – and over 85% of people there are in areas that have cellular service.

Because they are so widespread in the Third World, mobile phones – and especially smartphones – are starting to make a difference to people’s lives. For example, dengue fever is a real problem in Lahore, Pakistan. Like malaria, dengue fever is transmitted by mosquitoes and can be fatal. In 2011, over 16,000 people there contracted dengue fever, and over 350 died. The next year, government healthcare … Read More

August 28, 2013 |

Millions of internet users choose Internet Explorer as their web browser. Often issued as standard with Microsoft computers and laptops, it may not have all the bells and whistles of Chrome and Firefox, but it’s still a popular choice.

However, a recent security issue rendered one version of Internet Explorer a security risk to the Department of Labour when it gave hackers the chance to embed malware within a Department of Labour web page. Any employees using the site with Internet Explorer were susceptible to the so-called ‘Poison Ivy’ Trojan, which additionally allowed more malware onto the site.

As soon as the issue became apparent, Microsoft reported that they were working ‘around the clock’ to rectify the issue. Those who used Internet Explorer 8 were asked to install a quick fix-it patch while a long-term solution to the problem was researched.

The bug in question has been known to also target defence, aerospace and security … Read More
