Three Possible Risks of Mobile Phone Use

March 30, 2012 |

A lot of people are now using phones all over the world. Moreover, a lot more younger people are using them at a very young age. There have been a lot of studies that show that there are three possible risks when it comes to excessive use of mobile phones.

Decreased Levels of Male Fertility In 2007, the Cleveland Clinic has conducted a research and published it in Fertility and Sterility journal. The research included 32 men who gave sperm samples for the study. The sperm samples were then placed an inch away from a mobile in talk mode. Upon evaluation, the test group had increased levels of harmful free radicals and lower levels of antioxidants compared to the other samples that were not exposed to the mobile phone. Frequently Asked Questions About Your Mobile Phones Battery

September 16, 2011 |
  • My new battery isn’t charging. Is it defective?

Batteries need to be discharged and recharged at least two to four times prior to achieving its full capacity because a lot of the new batteries are not fully charged. You can charge your battery for a full 12 hours before the first use. There may be times when you charge the battery for the first time and it says fully charged just after ten to fifteen minutes.  This is a normal occurrence especially with rechargeable batteries.  This means that these batteries have not been broken in. There are also times when the charger will stop prior to reaching a fully charged status.  When this happens, take out the batter from the device and then put it back. You can then restart the charge cycle as you would normally do.

  • What is the memory effect?

What Features Does The HTC HD 2 Have?

July 12, 2011 |

The most updated version of Internet Explorer Mobile is integrated for web browsing, which is sadly not the first and best option available. According to some users, the whole experience in IE is inferior to that from using other competitors, such as Opera. This particular program is not part of the pre-installed programs and it is advisable to download this program on your HD2.

The Opera browser manages to load pages smoothly, without any hang-ups as those occurring in IE Mobile. There is also a significant improvement in navigation and the pinch to zoom capability. And one more advantage to the Opera broswer is its ability to support multiple tabs with the same quality performance, something that the IE currently lacks.

One application which a lot of HD2 enjoy is the pre-installed Google Maps. Opening the maps and even zooming in specific areas is done quickly and smoothly. A-GPS … Read More

Mobile Phone Reviews: The Blackberry Pearl 3G

June 15, 2011 |

The Blackberry Pearl 3G is considered as the unit without the QWERTY keyboard.  It seems odd because Blackberry has made their phones perfect for mobile email and a QWERTY keyboard makes this easier.  However, the Pearl 3G sports an alphanumeric keypad instead!

The Pearl 3G does not have a touch screen or a wide selection of apps. It does not have a good camera to take videos or photos because it is just a 3.2 megapixel camera and it does not also have top of the line media facilities for music and video lovers.  However, it has good connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS, although those are not good enough for those who are looking for really useful smart phones.  You can take advantage of the personal organizer functions and protect your phone with the password protection and screen lock feature.

The Blackberry Pearl is highly compact and light as … Read More

A Look Into The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8

June 9, 2011 |

The Sony Xperia X8 is considered as the Goldilocks of the Xperia range of smart phones.  The X10 is a little too big for some and the X10 Mini is a tad bit too small.  The X8, distributed exclusively by O2, hits just the right spot which is perfect for a lot of people.

The X8 is very similar to how the X10 Mini looks like. However one of its greatest advantages is the increasing size and resolution of the screen.  It was originally programmed to run on Android 1.6 but it was now upgraded to the 2.1 version.   This posed a little problem for some of its users as they feel that this is making the phone crash and freeze in the most unexpected moments.

The phone is saved by its excellent connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and 3.5mm audio jack.  You can watch videos and play music in its … Read More
