Mobile Phone Reviews: The Blackberry Pearl 3G

The Blackberry Pearl 3G is considered as the unit without the QWERTY keyboard.  It seems odd because Blackberry has made their phones perfect for mobile email and a QWERTY keyboard makes this easier.  However, the Pearl 3G sports an alphanumeric keypad instead!

The Pearl 3G does not have a touch screen or a wide selection of apps. It does not have a good camera to take videos or photos because it is just a 3.2 megapixel camera and it does not also have top of the line media facilities for music and video lovers.  However, it has good connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and GPS, although those are not good enough for those who are looking for really useful smart phones.  You can take advantage of the personal organizer functions and protect your phone with the password protection and screen lock feature.

The Blackberry Pearl is highly compact and light as it measures 108 x 50 x 13.3 mm.  It has the classic optical track pad for user interface navigation.  It is equipped with SureType to overcome the limitations of the alphanumeric keypad.  Its battery life can provide you with talk time of up to five hours and stand by time is at 13 days.

With all these flaws, Blackberry fanatics still opt to go for the big guns of the mobile phone manufacturer such as the Blackberry Bold 9700 or Blackberry 8520.  For those who want other brands that can do the job, they go for the Nokia E72 instead.

TIP: Did you know that you can now sell your old Xperia X8 online, and take part in the many compare and recycle programs that are available in the UK, where you can get phones for cash at the click of a button.
